Who is Nuel?

A Leader Rooted in Integrity and Excellence

Born into the Okeloten ruling house in Ipele, Ondo State, Nuel Ola Elehinle’s life has been a testament to hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to humanity. An engineer by profession, Nuel holds multiple academic qualifications, including degrees from the University of Liverpool and the University of Oxford, cementing his place as a thought leader in international trade, supply chain management, and leadership.

Nuel has held several high-profile positions, including Regional Supply Chain Manager for Atlas Copco and a board member of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC). These roles reflect his dedication to Nigeria’s economic and infrastructural development.

From a young age, Nuel has been engaged in political advocacy and grassroots mobilization, working to deliver good governance to the people of Ondo State. His philanthropic efforts include scholarship programs, educational infrastructure development, and relief for vulnerable communities during critical times like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nuel Ola Elehinle, had his elementary education at Army Children School and Ijapo Estate primary school both in Akure from 1983 to 1990. He attended Aquinas College, Akure for his secondary education from 1991 to 1996. This secondary education at Aquinas College where the motto is the latin word –“Integritas” has a long lasting influence on him as Nuel Ola Elehinle is an adherent to Integrity, Honesty and Modesty. He had a stint with Ondo state Radio corporation from 1997 to 1999 as an Engineering Assistant.


In furtherance, in 1999, having got his motivation from Late Engr. Feyide Otokiti, who was also an indigenous son of Ipele in Owo local government, a Mining and Petroleum Engineer, a fellow and founding member of the Nigerian Mining and Geoscience Society (NMGS) and the first Nigerian to be appointed as the Secretary General of the Organisation of Petroleum
Exporting Countries (OPEC), Nuel Ola Elehinle proceeded to study Mining Engineering at Kwara state Polytechnic, Ilorin and Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti from 1999 to 2003.

Political Inclination

The political quests of Nuel Ola Elehinle is bore out of selfless passion towards Humanity and Societal Development. Nuel Ola Elehinle’s political career is weaved around his philanthropical nature to ameliorate the less privileged and bring succour and respite to the needy. In addition to this, Hon Nuel Ola Elehinle is an advocate of good governance who believes that the essence of any given government is for the betterment of the citizenry. He believes that the fundamental basis of politics is at the grassroot level where governance should be delivered to the door steps of the people.

His political journey began way back in his youthful days. He was an astute youth who understands the values of the youths as leaders of the nearest future. He began politics from the grassroot level. He was instrumental in the emergence of Dr Olusegun Kokumo Agagu as Ondo State Governor under the aegis of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). As a vibrant, brilliant and astute youths, Nuel Ola Elehinle made remarkable impacts during the 2003 Gubernatorial Election in Ondo State.

 

Nuel Ola Elehinle furthered his political exploration in the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), during the 2012 Ondo State Governorship Elections, he was at bay in his support for the flag bearer of the Party, Mr Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN. Nuel Ola Elehinle was responsible for the printing and distribution of several campaign materials such as T-Shirts, stationery, caps, jotters and billboards.

As a staunch loyalist of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Nuel Ola Elehinle was a foot soldier as well as the sponsor of several political meetings in the 2016 Ondo State Governorship Elections. He was monumental for the distribution and printing of caps, books, signage boards, T-shirts that aided the popularity of the Party Bearer, Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN and his landslide victory.
Nuel Ola Elehinle never relented in his quests for good governance as he organised the first of its kind Political Jamboree in Ondo state towards the re-election of Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN CON in 2020.

This jamboree saw the decamping of groups into the APC family such as the “Aketi Sympathisers”.
Hon. Nuel Ola Elehinle vied for the Federal House of Representative, Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in 2013. As a lover of peace, unity and oneness, he stepped down for the common interest of the party and the people after he was advised by the leaders of the party and the then Olupele of Ipele, Oba Abel Alade.
The Community services of Nuel Ola Elehinle over time and in present time remains a distinctive attribute that is worthy of recognition. He is an adroit philanthropist who committed his hard-earned resources in helping mankind. His services and philanthropical activities cut across Owo and Ose Local Government and even beyond.
